The Blessed Generation started around late 2014 as an in-house group whilst all the 3 members were very young. The namely Precious Bridget and Brenda all from the same family were so passionate in music that even before TBG came up with their recordings, they were already been taken for recording sessions with other artists as featured for voice backing vocals. It was around 2016 after the being spotted by the parents that the passion grew and motivation given to go for the studio recording.
It was that the parents will fund the recording and it started with the first track Chitsime and Ambuye Amaona in November 2016. The first time to go on Air on MIJ with DJ Deldrich Fredrich on 25th December 2016. Its from that program that they got a very big motivation from the audience and some Radio DJs started asking for the songs which were not even enough then as they had done only 2. They managed to record all and went into video shooting that they finished in around August 2017.
As they were doing the Video shooting, preparations were already underway for the Album launch and the airplay and audience feedback they got made them to have joy and expectation that God is about to do something big for them. They were so nervous then because 2017 was just a very dry year in as far as Gospel shows are concerned in all the cities and they had no partner who would fund their promotion leading to the album Launch. They only prayed to God that it works for them and planned 2 shows for Blantyre Robins Park on 17th October 2017and Balaka on 19th October 2017. God did wonders and they had a very good turn-up for both shows.
They have always moved slowly because apart from music, members are students and have to always work on academics too.In 2022, their one member Graduated from the University with a Credit Degree and is now pursuing his Masters Degree in India, thats Precious whilst Bridget is studying in her first Degree at MCA in Blantyre. Brenda already graduated in General Fitting and currently working.
They have so far done their Second Audio Album that is already enjoying Radio Airwaves in the country and they are in process of finalizing their video shooting project which should be launched as soon as Precious is back from his studies, TBG is alive.
The second Album titled Chimwemwe has 12 tracks and had featured artists like Dr Ethel Kamwendo Banda, Saxess and Phallyce Mang’anda.
