Born on 10th July 1987 at Likuni hospital in Lilongwe, Levison Masamba came into the limelight with his hit song titled “Alpha and Omega” in 2016 followed by other two hits in 2018 and 2019, Ndikuchitirenji featuring Walusungu Kishombe and Ndalandira respectively.
Fifth born son in a Family of six (Five boys and a girll , Masamba comes from TA Lukwa in Kasungu but was born and raised in area 22 Lilongwe.
As an artist, Levison has three Gospel albums and is working on his fourth album to be finalised in July 2023. his 2020 single Titled ” Ndiyenda Naye ” which is part of the upcoming volume 4 Album is enjoying massive airplay on TRACE Gospel TV and all local Television stations in Malawi.
As he continues his journey to the 4th Album, Masamba has released a number of songs including “Zipite” which he has featured Evance Meleka, Asamala an afro-pop song, Zayera, Malire featuring Princess Chitsulo-Worshiper, and among others, Tayima recorded by Madela at Classic Records.
The gospel fraternity expects more from Masamba since he has produced a good song after another. His musical graph is peaking each and every day. He produced his first album Ndagwada in 2010 recorded at Faithworks productions, He released his second album in 2013 titled Tidalira Inuyo recorded at Alinafe Studios in Mponera by DJ Lobodo, Island productions by Gift Chiwale and Mastered by Foxy at STEP up Records in Blantyre. He released Ndine Yosefe volume 3 which included the all time song Alpha and Omega in 2018. The album also included other songs such as Ndikuchitirenji, Vhangeri and others.
Levison was inspired by late Sir Ken Khuma Phiri, Andy Seko, Walusungu Kishombe, James Mhone, Norman Phiri and Late Chembe Chakhaza.
Currently Masamba stays in Salima at Kamuzu road and is working as a Community liaison officer for JCM Power.He is Married to Alinafe Shamva Masamba and blessed with a daughter.
Levison launched his first DVD titled Alpha and Omega on 7th July 2019 at Msalura CCAP Hall in Salima. He is currently based in Salima where he has stayed for more than thirteen years.
Masamba did his primary school at Kafulu Primary in Lilongwe and did his secondary school at Tsabango Community. He did a certificate in Business management at Lilongwe technical college, a certificate in Community development at Magomero college, a Diploma in Gender and Development at Luanar and currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Community development at Pentecostal Life University.
Levison Masamba is a Gender and Community development practitioner with thirteen years of experience in Community mobilisation, capacity building, stakeholder engagement and two years experience in livelihood restoration .
Levison is a member of the CCAP Church and took part in rural evangelism and church planting for six years under Kuunika media ministry in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Malawi (E.L.C.M).
Levison is a member of the Musicians Union of Malawi (MUM), Copyright Society of Malawi (Cosoma) and Christian Artists Network Association- Malawi ( CANA-Malawi).
