Bettie M. Majamanda was born at Queens Hospital in Blantyre, Malawi.Originally she is from Dowa-Mponela.She is a last born child, did both her primary and secondary education in Blantyre.
She has an MSCE certificate and a nutrition certificate, she has also worked for international organizations such as Concern Worldwide and Medicine San Frontier.
She started singing a long time ago in Blantyre. She was once a member of Brothers and Sisters Choir in Blantyre and she was at that time 15yrs old.her musical journey was a rich one as she was encouraged and mentored by her late brother who was an accomplished guitarist and vocalist for Kalimba Makasu and Uhuru Bands. He used to take her to musical shows at French Cultural center in Blantyre to enjoy performances so through him,she started to appreciate singing and she felt the desire to be like him. From Brothers and Sisters Choir she joined Living Waters Church Praise Team at Kudya, Blantyre. As she was growing, her musical enthusiasm also grew with her.
When she shifted to Dowa Boma, she joined Malawi Assemblies of God Praise Team whilst in it a new group came out known as Power Praise Team.In Power Praise Team they released an album both audio and video known as Yehova M’busa Wanga. It was a wonderful experience which she cherish. All along she harboured the idea of composing her own songs and singing them too so it all happened that during her stay in RSA, she have managed to compose 10 songs which have made her maiden album”Timbalame Tikuimba twiii”.
She has also released 8 singles which hopefully will make her second album very soon. She has only released one video from her Timbalame Tikuimba twiii”.She feel very humbled to have been helped to produce these songs because the music industry requires a lot of money and time for an upcoming artist like her finding financial resources is really tough and as you try to do it, you will find petty jealous awaiting you coming from other artists.Currently she is a solo artist but also singing under Holy Nation International Church Praise Team.
