Born on 10th October 1978 at Chilumba in Karonga, Alinafe Trywel Mwambira came into the public eye with her hit song titled Zabisika in 2016.
Fourth and last born daughter in a Family of 4 (a boy and three girls), Alinafe comes from Traditional Authority (TA) Kyungu but was born and raised in Chilumba, Karonga.
As a gospel artist, Alinafe has two Gospel albums namely Zabisika and Mwawi Wachiwiri and is working on her third album, Bail Me Out, to be finalised in October, 2023. Her songs Ndakwera Ya Yesu and Mwayenera both featuring Violet Tengani, which are part of the upcoming volume 3 Album, Bail Me Out, are enjoying massive airplay on Mibawa TV, other local Television and radio stations in Malawi.
Alinafe has released a number of songs including Zabisika, Amaona, Khala Chete featuring Evance Meleka, Mwaonera Ndani,Zayenda, Mwayenera, and many others.
The gospel fraternity expects more from Alinafe Trywel Mwambira since she has produced good songs, one after another. Her musical career is peaking up each and every day. She launched her first album Zabisika at Sheffer, Assemblies of God in Lilongwe, backed up by well-known Gospel Artist, late Grace Chinga, in 2016 with financial and technical support from Hossanna Ministries.
Alinafe was inspired by late Grace Chinga, who encouraged and modelled her into the industry, with her loving and dedicated life to reaching the audience with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through her soul winning songs.
Currently, Trywel stays in Lilongwe, Area 23 and is working as a Secondary Teacher majoring in English and Geography at Mlodza Community Day Secondry School. She is married to Esau Mwambira and blessed with a son (Joshua) and a grandson (Emmanuel).
Alinafe did her Primary School at Chankholombe Primary in Chilumba and finished her Secondary School education at Dolicasterns Private Secondary School in Lilongwe. She holds a Degree in Education (Arts) specialized in English and Geography from Mzuzu University obtained in 2021. Apart from being a Gospel Musician, Alinafe is a Secondary School Teacher, with more than 11 years teaching experience in both Primary and Secondary School education.
She is also into film industry and coordination of ceremonies, writing scripts and coordinating different events.
Alinafe is a member of Christ Citadel International Church (CIC) where she is serving as a Church Elder along with her husband who is an Assistant Pastor at Area 23, CIC Branch.
Moreover, Alinafe is a member of the Musicians Union of Malawi (MUM), Copyright Society of Malawi (Cosoma), a Member of Film Association of Malawi and a member of the Directors of Ceremonies Association.
